Minnesota FoodShare Month 2010

Act now—your food drive or tax deductible donation during the month of March can make a big difference in the lives of your neighbors in need!

March is Minnesota FoodShare Month! This is a busy time for CEAP—when we enlist the help of local businesses, congregations, schools, and service groups to help relieve hunger for those in need.

Have you ever had to make the decision between eating and paying the rent? Many Minnesotans have to make such difficult decisions every day. In order to aid those going through this type of crisis situation, CEAP is again participating in the largest statewide campaign to fight hunger and is asking for your help.

How You Can Help...

1. Monetary Donations

Make your $ go further! Each $1 donation made to CEAP in March is matched by Minnesota FoodShare and the Feinstein Foundation in proportion to the total amount raised during the month! As such your contributions are more valuable during this campaign! Please consider a gift of $500, $100, $50, $25 or anything you can afford! Fill out a gift form for check or credit card donations and mail it to the address on the form.

2. Food Drive

Hold a Food Drive to provide food for hungry Minnesotans in your neighborhood. Each pound of food counts the same as a $1 donation.

Thanks to the generosity of our neighbors in both Anoka & Hennepin Counties, last year CEAP was able to share 133 tons of food with our neighbors in need. This year our goal is to raise more than last year. While it is an aggressive goal, it is driven totally by need. Reaching this objective will help to insure our ability to meet the demand for our services. Please help us make that a possibility. We CAN do it with your help!

Print this flyer to display with a list of items that CEAP desperately needs. Feel free to duplicate this material for distribution and/or download other informational materials at www.mnfoodshare.gmcc.org

We also need your help in advertising for this campaign. We would appreciate it if those who can, would please insert this information in your bulletin or newsletter, and/or copy & post this flyer in a public location.
