Mission Statement

The mission of CEAP is to stabilize individuals and families in financial distress and to maximize their ability to live independently and with dignity.

Vision Statement

Individuals and families in the northern Twin Cites area will have their basic needs met with dignity and will secure the skills and resources to achieve self-sufficiency. The community will be stronger, more stable, and more cohesive as a result of CEAP's leadership and services.

Location

CEAP maintains three offices, in Brooklyn Park (Hennepin County), Blaine (Anoka County) and Champlin. Location, hours and service area for all three offices can be found on our "Contact Us" page.

2009 Statistics

Food Shelf
5,800 families, 21,000 individuals (unduplicated) received food from CEAP's food shelves totaling 766,000 pounds.
Clothing Closet
4,700 family visits this fiscal year; giving over 82,700 articles of clothing.
Housing Assistance
Assistance was granted to over 300 households. That is $194,700 that went towards rent and mortgage payments.
Transportation Solutions and Anoka County Welfare to Work
CEAP's two car loan programs gave 309 families loans totaling $360,430.
Back to School Program
Our 16th annual Back to School Program was held in August. It brought together CEAP offices, the Northtown Mall, Brookdale Center, the Shoppes at Arbor Lakes, the Brooklyn Park Crime Prevention Association, Christ Lutheran Church, Emmanuel Christian Center & Eagle Brook Church to help local area children receive school supplies for the 2008-09 academic year.
CEAP's Holiday Program
Served families with children 18 years of age or under living in Brooklyn Center, Brooklyn Park, and East Champlin. Families participating in the program were given boxes that included traditional holiday foods, such as turkey, stuffing, sweet potatoes, and dessert mixes. Parents also chose two gifts and a stocking stuffer for each of their children.
Children's Birthday Bags and Layettes
All year long CEAP provides Birthday Bags and Layettes. Birthday Bags are given for elementary age children and include a birthday cake, various party favors, and a gift or book. Layettes are given to clients with newborn children and contain new baby clothing, diapers, formula a quilt and other items.
 

Volunteer Statistics

Volunteers gave 29,000 hours of their time to CEAP this fiscal year.

Senior Chore Programs

Contractors & volunteers spent nearly 3,700 hours doing chores for clients this year, like lawn mowing, raking, snow removal, and more!

Meals on Wheels Program

MOW volunteers delivered 34,270 meals to clients this fiscal year. That is nearly 140 meals served a day!

Commendations

On November 29, 2000, the House of Representatives of the Minnesota State Legislature passed a Resolution honoring CEAP for "the efforts it makes to help people."

Non-Profit Status

CEAP meets all standards of the Charities Review Council of Minnesota. We are a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. All contributions are tax deductible as permitted by law.
